Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to implement the Active, Deep Learner Experience (ADLX) approach in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMA ABBS Surakarta. The ADLX approach emphasizes active learning, deep understanding, and learner-centered experiences. A qualitative research method was used, involving interviews, observations, and documentation as data sources, analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that implementing ADLX enhances active participation and meaningful learning experiences. The main elements are active learning, which engages students in discussions and collaborative activities; deep learning, which promotes deep understanding and critical thinking; and learner experience, which creates a relevant and engaging learning environment. In conclusion, the ADLX approach effectively improves student understanding and engagement. Educational institutions are recommended to adopt ADLX and provide teacher training for optimal implementation. This approach helps students gain deep religious knowledge and build strong character.
