Abstract

The waiting period for harvest often causes mothers in rural areas whose livelihoods are only from agricullture to experience economic limitations. This community service program aims to provide more empowerment to mothers in Gembol Village through the development of bag weaving skills as a pioneering alternative source of income. The implementation method includes training sessions held at Ibu Mizzah’s House, covering an introduction to raw materials, weaving techniques, and an overview of marketing strategies. The result showed an increase in weaving skills and wider economic opportunities for participants. The discussion emphasized the importance of ongoing assistance. This program concluded that skills development is greatly needed in rural areas, and this program contributes well as an alternative to increasing the househeld economy.
