Integrasi Platform Kahoot dalam Akselerasi Motivasi Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam di Era Digital

Abstract

Abstract: This article is motivated by the low motivation of students to learn the subject of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) due to conventional learning approaches. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Kahoot digital platform integration in increasing students' learning motivation in the SKI subject. The article used a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design involving 28 grade 4 students of MIN 9 Nganjuk, divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through learning motivation questionnaires, learning outcome tests, in-depth interviews, and participatory observation. The results of the article showed a significant increase in learning motivation in the experimental group. Qualitative analysis identified three Kahoot effectiveness factors: positive competition, instant feedback, and gamification elements that create a fun learning atmosphere. It was concluded that the integration of Kahoot effectively showed a significant increase in the learning motivation of the experimental group students, with the average learning motivation score increasing from 66.0 in the pre-test to 85.5 in the post-test, or an increase of 19.5 points. In addition, learning outcomes also improved significantly, with an average pre-test score of 63.2 to 82.5 in the post-test, and 89.3% of students successfully reached the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) after the implementation of Kahoot, compared to only 14.3% of students who completed the pre-test.
